What is the Difference Between the APA Format?
What is the Difference Between the APA Format? There are two formats of the APA format, and they are APA double spaced and APA single spaced. Double spaced means that the formatting is in rows and columns instead of the normal format of 4 columns of text and one column of title. A common question when it comes to double spaced format is 'What is the difference between the two?'Well, APA style is used for term papers, research papers, etc. and APA single spaced is used for journal articles and book chapters. These two formats have their own advantages and disadvantages, but they are both useful.Term papers and research papers have a specific formatting standard. They have two columns of text and one column of title. This is a standard format because it allows for the most concise and accurate writing.Text and titles need to be in relation to each other. Double spaced also have a similar guideline for the text and titles to be related. Title must be in between the text, not too close, b ut not too far either. If the title is too far away, it makes the writing appear disjointed and it makes it difficult to read.Term papers do not need as much heading and footnotes. APA single spaced does require that more heading and footnotes be included in the paper, but the length of the paper will be a little shorter. This is because they only have two columns of text, instead of four columns of text and one column of heading.APA single spaced is more expensive than term papers. Some professionals might opt to go with term papers over APA single spaced because they are able to fit more material in the format. Termpapers have a shorter length, but there is also less space to be able to fit the material in there.APA single spaced is a bit harder to read than term papers because of the shorter lines. It can also be a bit confusing when trying to read the APA format compared to the term papers. They are both used for the same length of paper. It really depends on how the student wan ts to write and read the paper.APA double spaced is an easier option to handle compared to term papers. The title and the text are separated by a space, and there are less headings and footnotes, which make it easier to skim the paper, and reads better. APA single spaced is still easier to read than term papers, but it is also a bit harder to process.
